Martin Lawrence reveals why Eddie Murphy asked him to pay for kids' wedding

Martin Lawrence has revealed what pal Eddie Murphy has said about paying for the wedding of their kids Jasmin Lawrence and Eric Murphy.

Lawrence revealed during an appearance on the iHeartRadio's Big Boy's Neighborhood podcast that Murphy has asked him to pay for the wedding.

“Well, Eddie said I gotta pay for it. He said I gotta pay for it, 'cause he paid for his last daughter's wedding — like the last six weddings — but he said it's my turn now," the Bad Boys star said.

Lawrence, who has three daughters, noted that he doesn’t mind paying for his daughter’s wedding.

Murphy and Lawrence have been pals for decades now and co-starred in the 1992 movie Boomerang. Their kids began dating in 2021 and got engaged last month. The duo shared their sweet proposal video on Instagram and gushed over each other. Eric got down on one knee in a room filled with flowers and candles and popped the question.

Jasmine captioned the video: “We’re engaged!! God truly blessed us with a love that feels like destiny. We couldn’t be more excited for this next chapter.”

Martin Lawrence is dad to three daughters, Jasmine, Iyanna, 24, and Amara, 22. Meanwhile, his close pal Eddie Murphy is a dad of 10, six daughters and four sons.
