Jimmy Kimmel, Molly McNearney share rare insights into their happy marriage

Jimmy Kimmel and Molly McNearney shared some rare insights into their healthy marriage and how it has remained strong after more than ten years of marriage.

In an exclusive chat with People magazine, the couple revealed the tips for keeping their work-life balance and how they specifically make time for each other for "date nights.

“We worked together for eight years before dating, and so we really just kind of kept that the same,” McNearney told the outlet at the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles Gala on October 5.

“We know how to compartmentalize. It definitely can be difficult when I pitch ideas to get rejected by my husband, but it's okay. I've got thick skin,” the executive producer and co-head writer on Jimmy Kimmel Live! continued.

“I get rejected plenty, believe me,” Kimmel said jokingly.

“We're doing great. We're doing really great," McNearney added.

While revealing how they like to spend time together as a couple Kimmel noted, “Our date nights are like, lying in bed watching TV. We don't like to go out.”

McNearney chimed in, “So hot. That is a nice night for us. To not do anything is the best kind of date for us. Postmates and Netflix, and it's perfect. Or Hulu, of course.”

It is pertinent to mention that the late night talk show host and McNearney tied the knot in July 2013.

The pair is parent to two children including daughter Jane, 10, and son Billy, 7. Kimmel is also father to a 33-year-old daughter Katie and 31-year-old son Kevin whom he shares with his ex wife Gina Maddy.
