Kate Middleton seemingly tried to steal King Charles’ key gesture as she hosted the annual Christmas Carol service at Westminster Abbey.
The Princess of Wales adopted key trait of the monarch while greeting the guests at the servive amid rumours that Charles is preparing to abdicate the throne.
A royal expert noted the significant change in Kate after she displayed subtle yet telling changes in her body language during the annual event.
According to expert Judi James, Kate's confident arrival, radiant smile, and expressive gestures suggested a newfound sense of leadership and emotional depth.
She also noted how Kate appeared to mirror King Charles signature playful chuckle, prompting the expert to that the Princess of Wales may be embracing a more prominent role within the royal family.
Noting how Kate showcased herself as the “leader of the event,” she said that the Princess tried to steal Charles’ key trait.
"At one point she even seemed to be mirroring her father-in-law, arching her back slightly and performing the kind of playful chuckle that is Charles's signature look when he is meeting guests,” James told The Mirror.
This comes after a report by In Touch Magazine revealed that the “whispers that Charles is planning to step down are growing louder.”
They noted that the last few months have been branded “particularly rough” to the King, adding that his “work is exhausting.”
