Queen Camilla's son announces big plans for Christmas

Tom Parker Bowles has never spent Christmas with King Charles and his mother, Queen Camilla. 

Now, he said he will celebrate this year's holiday with them.

During an interview with the Telegraph, the food critic said he typically spends the festivity day with his family, such as his ex-wife and children,

However, the 49-year-old said he decided to be with the King and Queen after they had a challenging year — the former's cancer diagnosis, for example.

"I genuinely know nothing about it. I know there's turkey and sprouts and church. And I have to bring a suit and a dinner jacket," the Westminister native said as he made the trip to Sandringham.

He continued, "My mum said, 'I'd love you to come; I haven't had Christmas with you for a long time."

"It has been a hell of a two years for them. The older you get, the more conscious you become of mortality, especially with illnesses and the rest of it," Tom concluded.
