Beyonce's mom explains her 'like' on post about rape claim against Jay-Z

Beyonce's mom Tina Knowles is denying she ever liked a post about a rape allegation made against her son-in-law Jay-Z.

Knowles, 70, has issued a clarification on her Instagram, addressing reports that she "liked" a post by ABC7 Chicago that shared details of the shocking allegations made against her son-in-law in a lawsuit.

"I was Hacked !" she wrote following the backlash that began when fans noticed the suspicious activity on December 8.

She added, "As you all know I do not play about my family. So if you see something uncharacteristic of me. Just know that it is not me!"

Knowles then doubled down on her innocence as she captioned her December 9 post, writing, "Please stop playing with me !!!! 'No weapon formed against my family shall prosper.'"

Knowles also disabled the comment section on her post as critics refused to believe her.

As of Monday, she has since deleted her "like" from the post.

The Instagram post liked by Knowles featured a photo of her son-in-law Shawn Carter–who goes by the stage name Jay-Z–and fellow rapper Sean Diddy Combs with the words, “Breaking News: Jay-Z, Diddy Named in Lawsuit Alleging Rape of Girl, 13.”

For those unversed, an unidentified woman said in her amended lawsuit on Sunday that Carter and Combs, both 55, raped her at an afterparty for the MTV Video Music Awards in 2000, while a third, unnamed female celebrity watched.

Carter hit back via Roc Nation's X account on Sunday, rubbishing the filing as "a blackmail attempt." He refuted the accusation and spoke out against the attorney, Tony Buzbee.

The star also referenced his family with Beyoncé, saying the allegations would be difficult on his children.

Carter married Knowles’ daughter Beyoncé in 2008 and welcomed a daughter Blue Ivy, 12, and twins Rumi and Sir, 7.
