Jamie Foxx tearfully reveals his death scare in April

For quite a long, Jamie Foxx has kept a lid on the cause of his death scare earlier this year.

In his Netflix comedy special, the Django Unchained star, in a teary manner, revealed he had suffered a near-death stroke.

"Please, Lord, let me get through this,” the Oscar winner said as he remembered his medical emergency on the set of his film Back in Action.

He continued, “April 11, I was having a bad headache, and I asked my boy for a Aspirin. I realized quickly that when you’re in a medical emergency, your boys don’t know what the **** to do,” he said on as he wiped his tears.

"Before I could get the Aspirin [clicks his fingers] I went out. I don’t remember 20 days,” the actor recalled.

After coming from a doctor, Jamie said his sister Deidra Dixon "knew something was wrong."

“What the **** is that?” the 56-year-old joked. “I don’t know if you can do Yelps for doctors, but that’s half a star.”

The father-of-two said his sister took him to Piedmont Hospital, which Jamie told the audience was "just 400 yards away" from where the Jamie Foxx: What Had Happened Was... was being shot.

"Ya’ll saved my life just 400 yards away from here in Piedmont Hospital. They put me back together again.”

"She didn’t know anything about Piedmont Hospital, but she had a hunch that some angels [were] in there," he added.

At the hospital, the Day Shift star said the doctor broke "some horrible news about her big brother. He said, ‘He’s having a brain bleed that has led to a stroke and that if they didn't operate on him as soon as possible he would die."

"If I don’t go in his head right now, we’re going to lose him," he continued as he remembered his sister "knelt down outside the operating room and prayed the whole time."

"Your life doesn’t flash before your face. It was kind of oddly peaceful," Jamie recounted his state of being consciousness. “I saw the tunnel. I didn’t see the light. I was in that tunnel, though."

"It was hot in that tunnel. ****, am I going to the wrong place in this ********? Because I looked at the end of the tunnel, and I thought I saw the devil like, ‘Come on.’ Or is that Puffy [Sean Combs]? I’m ****** around," Jamie concluded.
