King Charles has made his first public appearance amid new claims about his abdication for son Prince William.
The In Touch Weekly, per OK!, quoted the royal sources as claiming Charles is said to be considering to make a historic announcement about his abdication and William and Kate Middleton will be the king and queen much sooner than anyone imagined.
The insiders claimed, “Charles waited so long to become king, but at this point, no one could blame him for giving up the throne so he can live the last months of his life in peace.”
Amid these claims, King Charles broke his cover and honoured emergency workers killed in the line of duty.
The monarch presented the first 'Elizabeth Emblems', a new honour that recognises former firefighters, police officers, and other public servants who died in the line of duty, in an emotional ceremony at Windsor Castle.
King Charles held the special ceremony shortly after conducting an Investiture Ceremony and gave the award to the next of kin of the 38 people recognised for their sacrifice.
