Prince William looked a bit unsettled in front of U.S. President-elect Donald Trump at the Notre Dame reopening ceremony, claimed an expert.
Analyzing the Prince of Wales’ body language, expert Darren Stanton noted signs that while there was “mutual respect” between the two, William appeared “nervous” and a “bit intimidated.”
According to GB News, the expert claimed that Trump's body language also projected dominance which made William appear "minuscule in shot.”
"I think Trump knows a relationship between himself and William is important," the expert said. "He's not necessarily doing his signature handshake with William, but he did a version of it."
He further observed clear signs of “unease” from William, adding, "There's one photo of William where he looks a bit on edge, a bit nervous, he's sat on the settee and I think he looks a bit intimated."
As for Trump's body language, Stanton noted, "Trump is spread out and creating more space, he wants to appear the more dominant, powerful person."
However, he shared that the interaction was genuine with no signs of fake smiles, adding, "I don't see any signs of inauthenticity and no fake smiles.”
He went on to say that Trump "will flash contempt when he has no respect," but that was not the case with William as the president-elect “genuinely likes William."
