Ariana Grande, Selena Gomez celebrate 'very special' Golden Globe nods

Ariana Grande and Selena Gomez celebrated their Golden Globes nomination together!

In a conversation with Variety, after the Wicked star landed a nod for her role in the aforementioned film after the nominations were announced on Monday, Grande revealed how she was happy for the Who Says singer.

"I respect her so much, and I've always adored her," he told the outlet referring to the Wizards of Waverly Place star, adding, "I was really happy for her to see us on that list together. It was very special."

"I really love watching this moment happen for Selena," the 7 Rings crooner added.

Grande continued, "I know how hard she's worked and how long she's waited. I recognize that because it resonates with me so I know that feeling. So, when you can reach out to your friends in the industry and say, 'Great work, congratulations,' why not do it?"

While, Gomez, who scored two nominations for her role in the thriller Emilia Perez as well as Only Murders in the Building, told the outlet how the eternal sunshine album maker was one of the first people to contact her after the Golden Globe nods were announced.

"Ariana texted me and it was the sweetest note and it was about six in the morning," the 32-year-old songstress revealed, further mentioning, "We sent each other voice messages. It was very exciting."
