Cynthia Erivo talks about 'deep bond' with 'Wicked' costar Ariana Grande

Cynthia Erivo has opened up about her "deep relationship" with Ariana Grande.

Speaking to Deadline, the 31-year-old actress, who appeared alongside Ariana in Wicked, revealed that she developed a strong bond with the singer while they were shooting the movie.

"You can’t get that if you don’t have it off[screen]. I mean, well done if you can, but there’s something that feels very tangible when you create that off screen,” said Cynthia.

"We are friends. We are in a deeply honest relationship outside of the work," she continued.

The Drift actress further shared that she still talks to Ariana "almost every day."

"She messages me every day and we are always in conversation … if there’s something that I want her ears on or I want her opinion on, I send it to her," said Cynthia.

“If there’s something she wants my opinion on, she sends it to me. We are always trying to be aligned,” she added.

Additionally, Wicked was released in cinemas on November 22, 2024.
