Mariah Carey has cancelled her show in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, after falling ill with flu symptoms.
On Wednesday, the 55-year-old songstress took to her X account to announce the bad news to her fans just hours before her performance.
“Pittsburgh, I am sorry to say, I’ve come down with the flu,” Mariah penned in a statement.
“It breaks my heart that I unfortunately have to cancel tonight’s show,” added the We Belong You hitmaker. “I love you all so much.”
For those unversed, Mariah was scheduled to perform at Pittsburgh's PPG Paints Arena on Wednesday as part of her ongoing Christmas Time tour.
This cancellation comes after the superstar's holiday hit, All I Want for Christmas You, climbed back to the top on the Billboard Hot 100 chart this week.
Mariah celebrated the milestone by bringing her twins, Moroccan and Monroe, on stage at her Raleigh, N.C., show on Monday, December 9.
“Last night on stage in Raleigh, North Carolina, I found out that All I Want For Christmas Is You returned to #1 on the Billboard Hot 100,” she captioned the post while sharing a heartfelt clip on Instagram on Tuesday.
“I couldn’t have dreamed of a better time or place to celebrate the news than on stage with my amazing fans, my kids and my #Christmastime tour family. I love you and am so grateful to you all, M,” Mariah added.
