Shawn Mendes has finally addressed his “unresolved” love triangle involving Sabrina Carpenter and Camila Cabello.

The 26-year-old crooner opened up about a complicated time in his love life during an appearance on the latest episode of John Mayer’s SiriusXM show, How’s Life.

In the interview, Shawn revealed that he was dating “someone” when he reunited with his ex-girlfriend due to some “unresolved feelings.”

“Two days before going to hang with my ex, [I] express I’m going to hang with my ex because I have unresolved feelings,” said the Señorita singer.

"Maybe instead of two days, I could have told her two weeks ahead of time,” shared Shawn reflecting on the situation.

John then asked the musician, “Is there something in all of this that you could say, ‘Yeah, I played that wrong?’”

Sharing the most significant lesson he learned from the experience, the Stitches hitmaker replied, “No one gets out of this life without getting hurt, and no one gets out of this life without hurting someone.”

It is noteworthy that Shawn and Cabello, who parted ways in 2019, rekindled their relationship for a brief period in 2023.

During the same period, the In My Blood singer was romantically linked to Sabrina Carpenter.
