Selena Gomez has shared insights into her career in the industry.

In a chat with Saoirse Ronan for Variety's Actors on Actors series, Gomez candidly shared her future plans related to her career in Hollywood.

“I definitely think my strong suit is probably acting,” the Calm Down singer began by saying. “But one thing I’m proud of in music is being able to tell a story — my favorite songs are mostly ballads, and they’re very transparent and honest.”

“But I think I might be a little too old for the pop-star life,” the 32-year-old singer shared. “I’m genuinely so happy to just be in this new era of my life, because in a lot of ways, it’s just the beginning.”

Moreover, Gomez reflected upon her singing and acting skill in her movie Emilia Perez as well and admitted, “I love storytelling, and my music career is separate. However, I don’t see that being a forever thing.”

She hailed her fiancé, Benny Blanco, for her music career too and went on to say, “I’ll always have music in my life because my partner’s a musician, and I love having moments to do it for fun.”

Before concluding, the Only Murder In The Building actor shared, “It can be a little vulnerable when you’re putting yourself out there versus escaping into a character. Definitely think my strong suit is probably acting.”

For those unversed, Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco are engaged after one year of dating.
