Christina Applegate has shared insights into her early symptoms of Multiple Sclerosis.
In a recent episode of MeSsy, Applegate and Liz Feldman candidly shared how it was filming Dead to Me while suffering from MS.
“I remember falling that day,” Applegate began by revealing her first symptoms of MS. “Hi, first sign of MS! So, not to bring everybody down, but there it was.”
At the time, Feldman recalled when Applegate was running and fell down while filming for the series, Dead to Me.
“I remember you losing your balance when we were shooting the pilot a couple of times, it was very hard to figure it out because, you know, I remember one time, it was really late at night,” the producer said. “We’d been shooting probably 14 or 15 hours … It seemed completely reasonable that anybody would be collapsing.” But “It was MS,” Applegate admitted.
“There’s no handbook for this, I can’t compare it to any experience I’ve ever gone through with a person before,” Feldman added. “I could just sense A, that she was scared, and B, that something was wrong … that something in her body was not working the way that she wanted it to.”
Later, the shooting for the comedy series was also postponed for a week due to Applegate, who played the role of a widow named Jen in the Fedman's produced series.
Before concluding, Feldman shared, “At the end of the day, yeah, maybe it’ll reach people and help people and entertain people, but this is your life,” “I just always tried to put her health first in my mind.”
For those unversed, Christina Applegate was diagnosed with the disease, multiple sclerosis, in 2021.
