Ed Sheeran has teased his new album with fans.
In an interview with Variety, Sheeran has revealed that he has already finished his next album.
Sheeran, who released two albums in 2023 Subtract (-) and Autumn Variations, said, “[‘−’ (‘Subtract’)] was obviously a completely different record that didn’t really call for big pop stuff.”
Speaking about his next project, the Perfect hitmaker added, “It feels like I’m getting back into big pop for the first time in a long time. It’s quite exciting.”
Additionally, he also talked about his festive song Under The Tree from Richard Curtis’ Netflix film That Christmas.
“It’s nice to have something quintessentially British, but also that you can watch with young children,” Sheeran expressed of his experience.
It is worth mentioning that this comes after Sheeran’s announcement of live shows in Bhutan, India, Bahrain and Qatar as part of his Mathematics tour.
Announcing the shows on Instagram, Sheeran wrote, “Coming back to India for my biggest ever tour of your beautiful country. Also coming to play Bhutan for the first time, coming back to Qatar for the first time in a decade and playing that beautiful amphitheatre in Bahrain again.”
“What a way to start 2025, can’t wait to see you all there. India on sale Dec 11th. Bhutan on sale Nov 30th. Qatar & Bahrain on sale Dec 6th,” he added.
