Sheryl Lee Ralph drops surprising insight about her marriage

Sheryl Lee Ralph, a renowned singer and actress, recently got candid and revealed how her long-distance marriage with Vincent Hughes is working.

While having a conversation with People magazine at the Out100 Event, the 67-year-old actress shared by saying, “My husband and I are technically very married.”

Sheryl went on to add, “And people always say, ‘Well, how does that work? How does that work?’ I [say], ‘Dolly Parton knows how it works.’ She's been married [to Carl Thomas Dean] for 50 years."

"You have never seen her husband one time. You know why? ‘Cause they plan on staying married. And guess what we plan on? Staying married," the Emmy winner remarked.

The couple who started dating in the early 2000s and got married in 2005, their situation is unique because Vincent cannot easily leave Philadelphia because of his work as a senator.

They see each other occasionally when Sheryl travels from Los Angeles to visit him.

Moreover, the actress of Abbott Elementary admitted that their arrangement works for them, and despite the challenges, their relationship has lasted.

She also shared they "will be celebrating" their 20th anniversary "next year."

It is pertinent to mention that Sherl tied the knot with the Philadelphia senator on July 30, 2005.
