Chappell Roan shares Elton John's valuable advice

Chappell Roan revealed the valuable piece of advice Elton John gave her.

The 76-year-old singer was crowned with TIME's Icon of the Year on Wednesday, December 11.

Taking advantage of the moment Roan shared the inspiring words the Tiny Dancer singer said to his new pal.

“The advice he gave me was that the songs will come," Roan said.

She went on to say, "He thought that he wouldn’t have the ideas, but they were absolutely there. He just had to let them come to him. So that’s a good reminder.”

Later in the chat Roan, whose real name is Kayleigh Rose Amstutz, gushed over John's "perfectly, masterfully written songs."

"That’s what connects them to millions, billions of people," she said of his tracks.

Back in June, John posted a snap of him with Roan while hanging out.

He captioned the post by writing, "The BEST evening of pizza and outrageous laughter with the fiercely fabulous @chappellroan,"

"Love her, love her, love her," the Tiny Dancer hitmaker gushed over Roan.
