Timothée Chalamet appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Thursday to promote his upcoming film A Complete Unknown.
However, the conversation took an amusing turn when the host confronted the 28-year-old Oscar nominee about his mustache and goatee.
According to Daily Mail, Chalamet joked to Colbert, “The first time I was on here, I hadn’t hit puberty. So my voice has changed, and now I’ll probably play The Rock in my next movie.”
Moreover, the facial hair was grown for Chalamet’s role in Marty Supreme, a $70 million A24 ping-pong drama directed by Josh Safdie, in which Chalamet stars and serves as a producer.
Despite wrapping up production a week ago, the actor seems to have a new look.
Additionally, this marked Chalamet’s fourth appearance on the CBS talk show, having previously visited in 2018, 2021 and February 2024.
Backstage, he mingled with fellow guest Sabrina Carpenter and showed off some karate kicks while sporting a stylish blue suede jacket and striped chef-style trousers.
As per the publication, Chalamet has had a busy year, transforming into Bob Dylan for James Mangold’s biopic A Complete Unknown, which releases in U.S. theatres on December 25.
Meanwhile, he also received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actor in a Motion Picture (Drama), adding to his growing list of accolades.
Furthermore, the actor enlisted the same team that prepared Austin Butler for Elvis to perfect Dylan’s voice and movements.
