Taylor Swift, who dominated 2024 Billboard Music Awards on Thursday night, expressed her gratitude for the recording breaking milestone.
Swift, who turns 35 today, on December 13, thanked her fans in a video message released as part of the star-studded event.
In her pre-recorded acceptance speech, Swift thanked the Billboard Awards. “Thank you to the fans, ’cause Billboard is counting your stuff,” the birthday girl began.
The Love Story hitmaker continued, “They’re counting what you listen to, the albums that you’re passionate about, and so I count these as like fan voted awards because you guys are the ones who care about our albums and come see us in concert.”
“Everything that has happened with The Eras Tour and The Tortured Poets Department, I just have to say thank you,” Swift expressed.
She also said, “It means the world to me that you guys have embraced the things I have made, you know? And the fact that you’ve cared so much about my music.”
Before concluding her speech, the Cruel Summer singer said, “This is the nicest early birthday present you could have given me. So, thank you very much, I love it. It’s exactly what I wanted.”
Swift, who recently concluded her The Eras Tour, won 10 trophies at the 2024 Billboard Music Awards, becoming the most decorated artist in BBMA history.
