Prince Harry has faced yet another shock after he did not receive an invite for the Royal family’s annual Christmas gathering at Sandringham.
Sharing insights into the current situation of his rift with the Royal family, an insider revealed that King Charles did not send an invitation to the Sussexes as they are "not sufficiently close.”
The source told Daily Mail, "Relations between Harry and his family are not sufficiently close for an invitation to be sent.”
"It’s very sad that things are that bad. We know that Harry wants to mend fences, but there is an awfully long way to go,” they added.
However, sources report that the Duke of Sussex is eager to return to the UK and take on a temporary role to help out his cancer-stricken father.
Recently, Harry, the Duke of Sussex, shared a heartbreaking message, revealing that it is okay to feel sad on festive occasions, seemingly sharing his feeling on the Royal snub.
He joined bereaved military children during a special virtual festive party hosted by the charity Scotty's Little Soldiers, wearing a Santa hat.
"It’s OK to feel however you feel at Christmas. Some people will be celebrating and happy, other people feel reflective, some people will be sad, and maybe you’ll experience every single one of these emotions and that’s absolutely fine,” Harry said during the Q/A session.
“Remember, you’ve got each other, you’ve got Scotty’s and you’ve got the people that love you,” he added.
