Andrew still remains pariah as Kate Middleton defies King Charles

King Charles has reportedly failed to convince Prince William and Kate Middleton to bury the hatchet with Prince Andrew.

A report in Daily Mail said that suggestions to invite Andrew to Kate's annual carol service were rejected.

The news outlet reported that there was no space for Andrew at the event where  22 members of the extended tribe were present.

According to the report, the monarch has tried very hard to bring his brother back into the family fold, insisting Andrew be given due status.

It also wrote that King Charles tried to get William and Kate to mend  their relationship with Andrew during a gathering at Balmoral last year.

The monarch persuaded the couple to to give Andrew a lift to church so the trio could be photographed together.

The Daily Mail reported that the the initiative taken by the king failed.
