Bill Hudson's strained bond with daughter Kate stuns Hollywood

Bill Hudson's complicated relationship with his daughter, Kate Hudson, has been disclosed. 

In an interview with People magazine, Kate revealed that she loves her biological father.

"There's nothing new there but love," the singer and actress told the outlet. "I love him… I just don't overthink it. It's a 40-year-old issue."

Previously, in an interview with Wise magazine, Kate shared, "I wanted him in my life, but for complications of life and people and what have you, we had a very, very tough relationship."

"So for me, music was like, Hudson, you know? The Hudsons, we're just… it's just all music. And so when I was little I wanted to feel that connection with him, but I never got it,” the Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery star added.

Kate's mother, Goldie Hawn, shares the Glorious hitmaker and her brother, Oliver Hudson, with Bill. The exes were married from 1976 to 1982.

After ending her marriage with Bill, Goldie started dating her longtime partner, Kurt Russell.

The couple raised Kate and her brother alongside Kurt's son, Boston, and Kurt and Goldie's son, Wyatt Russell.
