Will Smith, an acclaimed actor, rapper, and film producer, has finally spoken out and demanded fans stop spreading memes linking him to Sean "Diddy" Combs.
On Thursday, December 12, the 56-year-old actor went on stage and spoke in San Diego, California, mentioning that his name is being associated with Diddy, who is facing charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, and transporting people for prostitution, all of which he denies.
In a video obtained by TMZ, Smith can be seen telling his audience, "I've been seein' y'all memes and stuff. I see the memes. Some of that stuff is funny, some of it’s funny… I just wanna say this very clearly: I don’t have s****** to do with Puffy, so you all can stop all them memes. Y’all can stop all of that b******. I ain’t been nowhere near no damn ‘Freak Off.’"
The Oscar-winning actor emphasised by repeating, “I ain’t been nowhere near that man, ain’t did none of that stupid s******.”
Smith was talking about allegations that Diddy had hosted "freak off" parties, which were days-long s**** parties with multiple s***** workers.
Notably, the star of I Am a Legend was once photographed partying with Diddy in the early 2000s, along with many other famous people.
For the unversed, since the rapper was charged with serious allegations, there has been speculation about his connections with other luminaries.
Tony Buzbee, a lawyer for up to 120 of Diddy’s alleged victims, has claimed that he knew of other stars who were involved in the s***** crimes.
However, this week, the Bad Boy for Life singer’s former collaborator Jay-Z was named in a civil lawsuit, claiming he raped a 13-year-old girl with Diddy at an awards afterparty in 2000.
It is pertinent to mention that Jay-Z denied the allegations and had requested the court to dismiss the lawsuit.
