Chad Michael Murray teases 'spicier' version of 'The Merry Gentlemen'

Chad Michael Murray was all in for his Christmas movie The Merry Gentlemen, where he pays a male stripper.

Chad sat down with Interview magazine recently and revealed that The Merry Gentlemen has an even spicier cut featuring more dance moves that didn’t make to Netflix.

“We threaded the needle, there, where it’s still totally free, and fun, and not… you know what I mean?,” he said.

“There is something invigorating and exciting about dance that I never accepted before,” he reflected. “There was such a dopamine rush and a freedom to do what we were doing. I loved it.”

The One Tree Hill star also shared that he arrived even earlier than other men who were already trained dancers to make sure he didn’t hold them back.

“If I was going to do this, I wanted to be all in,” he remarked of his preparation for the role.

The Freaky Friday star acknowledged that the physical transformation for the role was “very intense,” but he noted that, "I love a good challenge.”

In the movie, Chad Michael Murray plays Luke, a dancer in the small town Britt Robertson’s character returns to for holidays. In an attempt to save her parents' performing venue, she throws an all-male, Christmas-themed revue.
