Brad Pitt is said to have turned down a massive offer to share the screen with ex-wife Angelina Jolie.
Producer Danny Rossner reportedly offered to hire Pitt, 60, to play lovers with Jolie, 49, in his new film based on real-life hotelier Emmanuel Martinez.
Rossner was prepared to pay the estranged couple around $60million to star in his movie.
"Right now, I think, Brad Pitt's in the $20 to $25 million range [per movie] and Angelina Jolie is in the $15 million range. In the 50-percent range above their going rate is what we’re prepared to offer," Rossner told The Post.
The estranged couple could "put their differences aside" to star in the movie, Mirror cited the producer. However, sources close to Pitt suggest there is "no way" this could happen.
An insider claimed that Pitt has refused the offer, saying he would not "lower himself" to accept any money in exchange for working with someone who has caused him so much "heartache," referring to the eight-year-long divorce settlement.
"All the money in the world wouldn't get Brad to appear in a movie with Angelina ever again. It would definitely spark public interest, but it's not anything he would ever consider for a moment," Daily Mail quoted a source.
"They are currently bitter enemies so there is no way Brad would lower himself to be paid any amount of money to talk to Angie on screen," the publication further mentioned.
They added, "She's caused him so much heartache and doesn’t even want his inner circle to talk about her."
It is also pertinent to mention that another source rubbished the producer's alleged offer, branding it as a "clever publicity stunt" and "not something either side entertained."
"There was never any real offer," they added.
Pitt has been estranged from his children ever since Jolie filed for divorce in 2016. They were declared legally single in 2019 but continue to face the ongoing legal battle.
