King Charles in high spirits ahead of major Royal event despite new scandal

King Charles has been gearing up to host a major get together for the members of the Royal family at Sandringham to mark the Christmas festivities together.

According to new report, the cancer-stricken monarch is in high spirits ahead of the annual Christmas get together despite Prince Andrew’s new scandal.

Andrew, the Duke of York, has landed into trouble yet again after he was linked to a business accused of being a Chinese spy.

However, despite the scandal, a royal expert noted that Charles is focusing on the celebrations as they will be particularly meaningful for the family following his own and Kate Middleton’s cancer diagnosis.

Speaking with OK! Magazine, royal correspondent Jennie Bond said, "After the year they’ve had, I’m sure it’s going to mean the world to the King and Queen to have as many of their family as possible joining them for Christmas.”

Bond added, “And, as the number of youngsters increases, the celebrations become more and more child-oriented. Which is exactly what Christmas should be all about.”

“I’m sure this will be a Christmas when the whole family will want to unite around Charles and Camilla, and William and Catherine, to help put this year behind them and cheer them into a brighter year ahead."
