Ryan Reynolds said that he is still working on his film titled Boy Band, despite taking a break from filming.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the 48-year-old actor shared that he is “not filming anything for at least a year”.

"There are no dates or anything just yet. I’m not filming anything for at least a year," the actor said.

“I really want to make 'Boy Band', and I’m still trying to figure out the smartest way to put that together,” said Ryan.

According to the Deadpool and Wolverine actor, he is on his second draft.

He also described the draft as “incredible”, adding that it was written by one of his favourite writers, Jesse Andrews.

He also shared that he hopes that the movie, which is about an ageing pop group being reunited later in life, would reunite him with director Shawn Levy and Deadpool and Wolverine co-star Hugh Jackman.

However, he also added that he doesn't want the cast to be led by big name actors.

While talking about the budget of the film, which is said to be a “tight budget”, the Free Guy actor said, "[We] are open to creative ways to make this movie at an absolute bargain.”

“A lot of members of boy bands - and there are a lot of them - had managers who left them high and dry,” he noted before concluding.
