Kody Brown's ex-wife reveals why she ended her marriage

Kody Brown’s ex-wife, Meri Brown, has revealed the shocking and emotional reasons behind ending her 30-year marriage.

On the Sunday, December 15th episode of Sister Wives, the 53-year-old businesswoman talked openly about her spiritual separation from Kody while meeting with her friends Jenn and Brandi.

Meri shared that within the days of their divorce, he asked, “Why did you do it so fast?”

Kody did not stop there and went on to throw her another question, asking, "You have a guy on the side waiting?"

Taking into account his remarks, Meri highlighted that she found them "insulting" because he had "no interest" in saving their marriage, and divorce was "the only other option."

Moving forward, the reality TV star noted that she texted him after getting the official divorce from their church, saying, “I texted him, and he called me within 20 minutes.”

"It was a good text. ... Do you want to hear it?" Meri quipped and went to get her phone.

When she returned to the couch between her friends, she started reading the message.

She read, "I said this. I'm gonna read it back. 'Hi Kody, just wanted to follow up from the text I sent a couple weeks ago. Just wanted to let you know that I had a conversation with the leadership in Utah today and the official release was granted. I'm brokenhearted that our life came to this. I will always love and respect you. Thank you for many years of joy. I hope you truly will have peace now and I release you from any responsibility or worry about me. I got this.'"

It is pertinent to mention that Meri Brown, who tied the knot with Kody Brown in 1990, annulled her marriage legally in 2014 through the family’s church.
