Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have seemed to take another page from the royal book, and this time it was a nod to Queen Elziabeth.
Royal commentator Daniela Elser made these comments about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, in response to their 2024 Christmas card debut.
In her piece for News.com.au she began the whole thing by saying, “The royal mother tongue is an inherently visual one.”
Its pertinent to mention that this references Queen Elizabeth who’d signal her emotions by exchanging handbags from one crook of her arm, to the other during events.
In the eyes of Ms Elser, “That language of signs and symbols is clearly one that Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex clearly still fluently speak if their hot-off-the-presses digital Christmas card released on Tuesday is anything to go by.”
Because last year’s card had a single picture of themselves, whereas this time around there are six images in total and “the underlying meaning isn’t one that you need to be a committed Sussex cryptologist to interpret,” Ms Elser said.
“Harry and Meghan might have gleefully dumped most of the vestiges of official royal life in a large dumpster and moved on to find their freedom and drink oat milk to their hearts’ content but with this card, they are borrowing heavily from the royal playbook.”
“The message is clear - all that chatter, that gossipy hubbub about their relationship? Psshaw,” she chimed in to say before signing off.
