Prince Andrew reportedly held crucial talks with his former wife Sarah Ferguson, who seemingly came out to rescue King Charles and Queen Camilla from ‘invidious’ position.

According to reports, Prince Andrew and Sarah have decided that they will not join the royal family’s annual get-together hosted by King Charles.

The Daily Mail reported Princess Eugenie and Beatrice father has taken the decision after discussing the issue with his ex-wife.

The report further claims there had been serious concern Andrew’s presence would put King Charles in an 'invidious' position given the furore over his brother’s links with alleged spy.

The publication also reported it is understood that the monarch and Queen Camilla were quietly hoping that Sarah might come to their rescue and ‘talk some sense’ into Andrew, as one of the few people to still have his ear.

The friends have claimed that Sarah was indeed instrumental in Andrew’s decision not to join royals for Christmas celebrations.

Prince Andrew and Sarah held crucial talks after she extended her complete support to the Prince of York amid new scandal.

Sarah said, "I won't let him down. He supports me as much as I support him."

The Duchess of York further said, "He's supported me through thick and thin, not just marriage or divorce."
