Justin Bieber gave a shocking reaction to the engagement news of ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco.

According to a report by DailyMail published on December 17, a source revealed that Bieber hopes Gomez is 'happy' following her engagement.

For those unversed, the Only Murders in the Building actress revealed on her official Instagram account on December 11 that Blanco had proposed to her, sharing closed-up snaps of her diamond ring.

"Justin is married and has a kid, we all know that but when he heard that Selena was engaged, he'll even admit, it stung for a brief second,' the source told the outlet.

The insider continued, "Because even though they will never be friends or date again or anything like that."

"It is officially the end of an era," the tipster added.

It is pertinent to mention that Gomez and Bieber had dated on and off for almost 8 years before the Baby singer tied the knot with Hailey Bieber in 2018.

The pair also welcomed their first child, baby boy, Jack Blue in August.
