Beth Leonard, Darius Rucker's split: Real reason revealed

The real reason behind Beth Leonard and Darius Rucker’s split has been revealed.

In an interview on Tamron Hall, the Hootie & the Blowfish frontman broke the silence on his split from estranged wife Beth. 

“She saved my life. I have so much love and respect for her,” said Beth.

“The night she just said to me, ‘It’s time to quit,’ in her very colorful way, I realized it was time to quit. That day, I called the band, I got my own bus, I said, ‘This is over for me.’ It was over because I respected her and I respected my family,” continued the 58-year-old musician.

He added, “I just wanted to be a better person.”

The Only Wanna Be with You hitmaker further revealed that he still loves Beth, calling her an amazing human being.

“She’s so wonderful, she’s still an amazing human, amazing person. I love her so much. But I was just, a rockstar, and I lived that life,” added Darius.

For those unversed, Beth and Darius parted ways in 2020 after 20 years of marriage.
