Céline Dion marked what would have been her 30th wedding anniversary with her late husband, René Angélil, with a heartfelt Instagram post.

Angelil, who passed away from throat cancer on January 14, 2016, just days before his 74th birthday, remains a central figure in Dion’s life and memory.

The 56-year-old singer shared a touching message alongside a photo from their 1994 wedding at Montreal’s Notre-Dame Basilica.

In the image, Dion is seen gazing into Angelil’s eyes while holding his cheeks, as he gently holds her waist.

According to Daily Mail, Dion captioned the post as, “You still fill our hearts, every day. You are everything for us. We miss you so much. Happy 30th anniversary, mon amour.”

Moreover, the message was signed by herself and their three children, Rene Charles, Nelson and Eddy.

Additionally, Dion and Angelil’s relationship began in 1980 when Dion auditioned for Angelil, who later became her manager.

As per the publication, they began dating in 1987, keeping their relationship private for years before going public in the 1990s.

The couple tied the knot in a lavish ceremony broadcast on Canadian television in 1994, a moment Dion has often described as one of the most significant in her life.

Furthermore, Angelil battled throat cancer twice, first being declared cancer-free in 2000 before the disease returned in 2014.

Meanwhile, the couple renewed their vows in 2000 to celebrate his recovery and since his passing, Dion has continued to honor his memory as she told People this year, “I’m still married to René. He’s still my husband. He will always be.”
