Princess Eugenie, Beatrice ‘suffer’ amid Prince Andrew’s spy scandal

Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice have been “suffering” ever since Prince Andrew started a war with King Charles over his residence at the Royal Lodge.

However, the Duke of York added to his daughters’ worries after his ties with Chinese spy Yang Tengbo were revealed.

According to a royal expert, it is heartbreaking for the girls to witness the ongoing damage to Andrew's reputation, noting that it is specially distressing for Beatrice as she prepares for the arrival of her second baby.

Speaking with New Idea Magazine, royal author Phil Dampier said, “They have been under immense stress, and subjected to abuse on social media and criticism elsewhere because of their father’s alleged sins.”

“But his actions are not their fault and it’s not fair to make them suffer as a result,” he added.

The expert continued: “Eugenie is heavily involved with combating modern-day slavery and sex trafficking, and critics have, of course, pointed out the irony as Andrew’s former friends Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell were jailed for similar activities.”

“I’m sure there have been times when they have doubted him, and maybe they have told him in quiet moments that he made a big mistake.

“But publicly they have stood by him and not kicked a man who is clearly down. That is to their credit and shows they are loving and loyal.”
