The Weeknd treated his fans to an unforgettable experience on Tuesday night, teaming up with Spotify for the streaming platform’s first-ever Billions Club Live event.

Held at a transformed airplane hangar at Santa Monica Airport, the exclusive concert celebrated The Weeknd’s record-breaking achievements, including his 24 in Spotify’s Billions Club, more than any other artist, and the most-streamed song on the platform, 2020’s Blinding Lights.

According to Deadline, fans filled the dark and moody venue to witness the Grammy-winning artist perform an electrifying setlist of hits.

Moreover, The Weeknd ascended the stage, flanked by fans on all sides, as the crowd passionately sang along to lyrics, including his latest singles, São Paolo and Timeless.

In regards to this, The Weeknd told the crowd, “What I love about the Billions Club is that everybody knows these songs.”

The setlist featured fan favorites like Can’t Feel My Face, Starboy, The Hills, Earned It, Save Your Tears, and I Feel It Coming.

Before leaving the stage, The Weeknd expressed his gratitude, shouting, “I f****** love you!” to the audience.

Additionally, Spotify’s Billions Club is an extension of its Billions Club, celebrating artists whose songs surpass one billion streams.

Meanwhile, other stars like Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Billie Eilish, and Tyler, The Creator are part of this elite group, The Weeknd was the natural choice to launch the live series, as per the publication.

Furthermore, The Weend is gearing up for the release of his new album, Hurry Up Tomorrow, on January 24, while completing the trilogy that began with 2020’s After Hours and 2022’s Dawn FM.

It is worth mentioning that he will follow the album’s release with a one-night-only performance at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena on January 25.
