King Charles expresses gratitude to trusted ally for help with Andrew scandal

King Charles has expressed his gratefulness to Prince Andrew’s ex-wife Sarah Ferguson for her help with the “disgraced” Duke’s latest scandal.

As per reports, the monarch turned to Fergie to seek her help in persuading Andrew to skip this year’s Christmas Walk as well as Christmas lunch at Buckingham Palace after it was revealed he allegedly has ties with a Chinese spy.

According to sources, the Duchess of York played a huge role in convincing Andrew to step back after Charles personally asked her to intervene in the matter so the Duke would be saved from more “headlines.”

GB News has revealed that some Palace sources had urged Andrew to "do the decent thing,” following which Fergie intervened through "deft family diplomacy."

The publication further revealed that King Charles is "very grateful" of Ferguson to have stepped up in hour of need.

This comes after Telegraph reported that Charles contacted Ferguson to keep the Duke of York "out of the headlines."

At the time, they reported that Sarah "might act as a bridge between the brothers,” as Charles is "not fond of confrontation.”
