Chris Martin called his longtime girlfriend Dakota Johnson his best friend amid Split Speculation

Following the breakup rumors of the Coldplay frontman and the actress, Martin hinted at their thriving relationship in a recent interview with Rolling Stone, mentioning Dakota's name in the list of her closest pals.

“Phil [Harvey], Dakota, Jonny [Buckland], Will [Champion], and Guy [Berryman],” said, adding, “My kids."

The outlet reported that the singer did not want to have a talk about his relationship with the Madame Webb actress, however, he mentioned during the chat that the pair have recently listened to the album Golden Hour by Kacey Musgraves.

“It is important to say that [romantic love] is such a big factor in everything, even though it feels right to keep it precious and private; I’m not denying its power,” Martin added.

Martin and Johnson have been romantically linked since 2017 and made their first public appearance as a couple in 2018.

Though the pair mostly keep their relationship out of the spotlight, Martin gave a romantic shoutout to Johnson in 2021 while performing his song, My Universe.

“This is about my universe, and she’s here,” he said before crooning the song at the London show.
