Prince Andrew is “extremely upset” on skipping the annual Royal Christmas bash, set to take place at Sandringham, a new report has revealed.
The “disgraced” Duke of York faced pressure to back out of Royal Christmas festivities amid controversy surrounding his ties to a businessman accused of being a Chinese spy.
Sharing two cents on the matter, Royal expert Jennie Bond said she believes Andrew will be "extremely upset" by the situation.
However, she noted that his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson and his daughter, Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice, would be with him to offer support on Christmas day.
Speaking to OK! Magazine, Bond said of Andrew, "I think he will be extremely upset by it all. By all accounts he is living a fairly isolated life after his fall from grace.”
“To be treated as a pariah by your own family at Christmas is tough...however much you might deserve it,” she added. "And this probably feels like another kick when you are already down.”
“I think his ex wife and his daughters will rally round to try to cheer him up," she said. "And, whilst his siblings might feel exasperated, they are not heartless and will probably have a chat with him on Christmas Day."
