Days after Jay-Z's lawyer said that the rapper was not friends with Diddy, a video of the duo was circulated online with suggestions that they were more than friends.
Jay-Z’s lawyer made a point to distance his client from Sean “Diddy” Combs in an interview with NBC News on Monday.
“There is no friendship or longtime bond here” and added that “just because they knew each other, know each other, that doesn’t mean anything,” said Alex Spiro.
In the video, Jay-Z and Diddy are seen travelling on the backseat of a car while a song plays in the background.
The pair also shares a laugh in the brief video, which elicited angry response from social media users.
Meanwhile, rumors that Jay-Z and Diddy have been seen kissing in a picture or video could not be confirmed.
An amended lawsuit filed in federal court earlier this month alleges that rap mogul Jay-Z raped a 13-year-old girl along with Sean "Diddy" Combs during a party in 2000.
Jay-Z denied the allegations on social media and blasted the lawsuit, calling it part of a "blackmail attempt" by the plaintiff's lawyer.
The lawsuit was originally filed in October in the Southern District of New York and at that time did not name Jay-Z as a defendant, though the amended lawsuit says that Jay-Z was identified as "Celebrity A" on the original complaint.
