Inside Ronnie Shacklett, Brenda Lee's enduring relationship

The reason behind Ronnie Shacklett and Brenda Lee's long-lasting marriage has been revealed.

Brenda finally shared how she managed to keep a marriage for six decades during an appearance on Southern Living's Biscuits and Jam podcast.

“I’m just me, and when I commit, it’s hard to get rid of me, and my husband will tell you that," said the 80-year-old hitmaker.

"I’m loyal to the ones that are loyal to me," continued the Rocking Around The Christmas Tree singer.

“And in this industry that’s hard because everybody’s so busy, and it’s normal, but they’re so busy just trying to survive what this business offers,” she added.

For those unversed, Brenda and Ronnie tied the knot in 1963, and the couple shares two daughters - Jolie Shacklett and Julie Shacklett.
