Kim Zolciak-Biermann, singer and TV personality, recently opened up about the emotional turmoil surrounding her divorce from Kroy Biermann.
While having a conversation with TMZ, former Real Housewives of Atlanta star disclosed that the past few years have been particularly challenging, stating, "It's gonna take me a long time to heal from the trauma that I've experienced."
Referring to her separation from Kroy for the second time following their transient reconciliation in 2023, Kim added, “Nobody has any idea what I’ve dealt with the last two and a half, three years of my life. I'm trying to take the high road.”
Talking about how they could be “more amicable,” the Love Me First singer quipped, “I’m a normal, rational person that doesn’t see the need for any of this control and chaos.”
When asked if Kroy was “too controlling,” she responded, “To say the least,” and added that the last few years have been “torture” for her during the ongoing divorce.
Notably, the same outlet reported that despite their separation, the couple continues to reside under the same roof, leading to a tense living environment.
This tension has resulted in multiple police interventions due to domestic disputes.
For the unversed, the couple, who met in 2010, share four children, as Kroy adopted Kim's two older daughters from her previous relationship.
It is noteworthy to mention that their blended family life was also showcased on the Bravo series Don't Be Tardy.
