Billie Eilish just termed her collaboration with Charli XCX "the dream.”
Apart from the success that her recent album, Hit Me Hard And Soft garnered, the Ocean Eyes singer also received praise for her collaboration on the track Guess.
Despite Eilish’s past comments suggesting how she would rather not collaborate with any artist, telling Vanity Fair in 2023, “You listeners don’t understand how unpleasant it is to collaborate with people. It is not a fun experience.”
However, in 2024, the Lovely crooner laughed over this suggesting how she was glad to make an exception for the 360 hitmaker.
Believing that their collaboration took place “in the greatest way possible,” she added, “She (Charli) sent us stems. Finneas and I went on a hike, came back, went into the studio, sat there, played the song, wrote a verse, sent it back.”
“That’s my dream,” Eilish added.
In fact, the whole creative process of the production for Guess came around together rather quick, where the What Was I Made For singer detailed, “…then we literally shot a video, like, two days later.”
She continued, “And then the video got edited the next day, and it came out like the next day. It was the craziest, fastest, like… that is the dream.”
Billie Eilish recalled hearing Guess for the first time from the extended version of Charli XCX’s Brat album, saying, “I remember being, like, ‘wow, that’s such a good song. God, I wish I had a song like that. And I just went on with my life.”
