Jameel Soomro rejects statements attributed to Bilawal Bhutto Zardari

LAHORE: Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s media advisor Jameel Soomro has rejected statements being attributed to Bilawal that were earlier shared with the media by the party’s Southern Punjab General Secretary Shaukat Basra.

Earlier it was reported that Bilawal Bhutto declared that he believes in resistance and not reconciliation. Additionally it was reported that Bilawal Bhutto had said his party would destroy the ruling Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PMLN) in the local bodies elections.

However both of the statements have now been rejected by Jameel Soomro who says the Patron in Chief’s comments have been misrepresented in the media as he never spoke about the local bodies elections nor has he changed the party’s policy of reconciliation.

Shaukat Basra had briefed the media following his meeting with Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
