Gracie Abrams has opened up about his famous dad's reaction to her stardom.
In an interview with Nylon, Gracie, who is the daughter of famous director J.J. Abrams and actress Katie McGrath, revealed how her parents reacted to her rise to stardom.
She told the outlet, "They’re like, ‘What in the world?’" adding that it was "really sweet."
Gracie gained fame after opening for Taylor Swift on 49 shows of her Eras Tour and performing on Saturday Night Live.
Despite having famous parents, the songstress has proven that her talent is what is driving her career.
Speaking of her mother, who is the co-CEO of Bad Robot Productions, Gracie said she is "the toughest person I know, and not a softie."
"The way that she treats people is how I want to treat people, and for me to see her be that way towards this community that cares so much about the music…," she continued, adding, "Her support and encouragement of my writing my whole life is the reason that I’m doing any of this now."
Previously, speaking with iHearRadio Canada, she also praised her dad J.J., adding, “I feel really lucky that I grew up in a house where there was an adult in my life who was telling stories all the time.”
“Whether or not that was on my mind when I was writing songs because it definitely wasn't. I think that having that in my childhood solidified my love and appreciation for storytelling … and influenced the fact that I did it all the time,” she said.
