Creature Commandos on Max is approaching its finale, and creator James Gunn is already building excitement for what’s to come.

The seven-episode animated series, produced by DC Studios and Warner Bros. Animation promises a special treat for fans of the DC Universe.

When asked by a fan on Threads whether the series would feature any post-credit scenes, Gunn confirmed, “The season finale will, yes.”

However, he did not reveal if the scenes will hint at the newly announced second season or tie into other DC Studios properties, such as Superman or Peacemaker Season 2.

According to Deadline, Creature Commandos marked the first project within the DC Extended Universe helmed by Gunn and Peter Safran as co-heads of DC Studios.

Notably, the series is part of an integrated storytelling approach, where actors will portray the same characters across animated and live-action projects.

Moreover, the star-studded voice cast includes Steve Agee as Economos, Maria Bakalova as Princess Ilana, Anya Chalotra as Circe, Zoe Chao as Nina Mazursky, Frank Grillo as Rick Flag Sr., Sean Gunn as GI Robot and Weasel, David Harbour as Frankenstein, Alan Tudyk as Dr. Phosphorus, Indira Varma as The Bride, and Viola Davis as Amanda Waller.

Following the series’ success, Max recently greenlit a second season of Creature Commandos as he expressed his gratitude, saying, “We’re thrilled to team up with Max for another season of Creature Commandos mayhem."

"From the spectacular first season of Peacemaker to the astonishing run of The Penguin and the record-breaking launch of Creature Commandos, Max has exceeded our expectations.”
