Harrison Ford gets honest about 'Shrinking' role

In Shrinking, Harrison Ford steps into the character who is suffering from Parkinson's diagnosis. 

When asked how seriously he takes his role's disease's journey at PaleyLive’s An Evening with Shrinking, he replies, “Can I say deadly ****** seriously?”

The Star Wars star further says he believes that he has the responsibility to correctly portray his character's condition.

“There's no intention to make it into a joke,” he notes. “But there are people that absorb these kinds of experiences with grace and courage and a little bit of wisdom. And that is not to say that some people do not.”

“It's just to say that this is a person particularly equipped to communicate what it is that it's like, and that is something that I feel that is worth sharing with our audience,” the Indiana Jones actor adds.

On the other hand, Harrison's co-star Jessica Williams lauds his performance in Shrinking, saying his monologue in season two touched the hearts of many on the Apple TV+ set.

“There’s this scene where Paul decides he’s not gonna take his Parkinson’s medication so much anymore because it loses its effectiveness," the Emmy nominee told Deadline.

“Harrison showed up that day and had really worked the **** out of that scene. We were weeping, like, the camera crew was weeping," the 35-year-old added. 

"I’m getting misty thinking about it, but it was some of the most phenomenal acting I’ve ever seen in my life and that I’ve ever had the privilege to see in person, and I could not believe that monologue," Jessica concluded.
