Tulisa Contostavlo, a singer, songwriter, and rapper, has opened up about her experience on I'm A Celebrity.
The 36-year-old rock star appeared on her fellow campmate GK Barry's podcast and reflected on her time in the jungle.
She shared insights into her mindset during her stint, including her surprising predictions about the competition.
The singer of I Need You revealed that she had gone through an excruciating period in the jungle owing to her endometriosis.
Tulisa recalled complaining on I'm A Celebrity about how much each person had spent on the dunny and how it was recorded on screen.
She felt the situation was unfair and expressed her frustration openly, quipping, “It would obviously come up at the end of the day how many times you've gone to the loo. I wasn't happy about that.”
“Poor ITV dealing with me, I went: ‘I'm not having my bladder movements put on national TV, you're going to have to change this!’” the Best Behaviour crooner added.
Tulisa then went on to explain that “And then I was like, ‘GK is on her period; you're not charing her to use the dunny to change her tampon. That's tampon tax and it's unacceptable!’ And the next day it was gone!’
“One thing a lot of people didn't know - you know you can tell how much airtime you're getting by how much you're getting called to the Bushtucker Telegraph and how many questions they ask you? Because you're narrating what's being aired,” she noted.
“And in the days running up to it I wasn't getting called as much to the BT and then I wasn't getting asked as many questions, so I was like, ‘Ah,’” Tulisa added.
She went on to say, “But at the same time I was also going into my introvert mode; by that point I was already getting overwhelmed, so I was not really intricated into camp a lot anyway.”
“So, in my mind I was like, I might end up going because I knew I wasn't getting much airtime,” Tulisa concluded by saying.
It is noteworthy to mention that Tulisa was the third celebrity eliminated from I'm A Celebrity after receiving the lowest public vote.
Notably, she quickly returned to the UK, explaining that her decision was due to suffering from severe anxiety and feeling overwhelmed by the constant cameras.
