Jay-Z, Diddy's accuser gets unexpected favour in latest ruling

Jay-Z and Sean "Diddy" Combs’s accuser, who filed the lawsuit underneath the pseudonym Jane Doe, has been favoured in the latest ruling of the case filed against the music moguls.

As reported by PEOPLE, U.S. District Judge Analisa Torres has allowed the woman to remain anonymous in her rape case against Jay-Z and Diddy.

It all started when the accuser in her lawsuit alleged both Diddy and Jay-Z of sexually assaulting her in 2000 when she was 13, after she was driven to an MTV Video Music Awards.

Initially, she first sued Diddy in October, and two months later amended her complaint in December, adding the name of Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter.

Jay-Z's attorney, Alex Spiro, in response, stroke back, stating the filing should be dismissed if the accuser does not reveal her identity.

To which, the judge denied the motion on Thursday in her ruling, noting, "Carter’s lawyer’s relentless filing of combative motions containing inflammatory language and ad hominem attacks is inappropriate, a waste of judicial resources, and a tactic unlikely to benefit his client."

"The Court will not fast-track the judicial process merely because counsel demands it," Judge Torres added.
