Khloe Kardashian revealed that she was unable to attend her family’s annual Christmas Eve celebration this year as she stayed home to care for her ailing children.
The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star took to Instagram stories on Thursday, sharing updates with her followers about her holiday experience.
The Los Angeles native, who shares daughter True and son Tatum with ex-boyfriend Tristan Thompson, described the holiday as “great but different.”
She explained that her son Tatum had been “super sick” the weekend prior but recovered in time for Christmas Eve.
However, her daughter True had a high fever that reached 105 degrees, which Khloe described as “really scary” and “horrible.”
She added, “I didn’t get to make it to the Christmas Eve party, which was a bummer. But it wasn’t really a party this year—it was just us hanging out at Kendall’s house. I still missed being with my family.”
Despite these challenges, Khloe said she tried to keep the Christmas spirit alive by spending time at her mom Kris Jenner’s home.
Over there, True rested in a separate room while Khloe cooked breakfast and prepared holiday surprises as she shared, “Poor thing ... you know your kid is sick when Santa toys don’t even excite them,” while adding that she was relieved that her daughter was starting to feel better.
Moreover, Khloe wished her followers a Merry Christmas and stated that she was unable to do so earlier due to the busy holiday and her focus on being present with her children.
Later, Khloe posted clips of herself cooking for the family while sipping champagne and playing the trendy game Boxbollen with her brother Rob Kardashian and nephew Mason Disick.
