King Charles and his elder son Prince William have reportedly struck a major deal as the monarch is said to be planning to abdicate for the Prince of Wales.

According to a report by the Daily Express, per Cheat Sheet, King Charles has a deal with the future monarch to manage the awkwardness of William taking the spotlight.

Royal expert Clive Irving told the Express, “They worked out a kind of accommodation of how much limelight each is going to be allowed. Because Charles is always very jealous of the other people stealing his limelight.”

The report further says the supposed “deal” also involves William’s wife Kate Middleton.

The royal expert explained, “He’s worked out a deal now whereby William and Kate can have an allotted percentage of the limelight.”

Their “working arrangement” seems to be “maybe 40 percent [for William and Kate] and [King Charles] keeps 60 percent”, Clive Irving concluded.

Clive Irving's claims came amid historian Dr. Tessa Dunlop remarks that “Time and again recently, William has grabbed the headlines” instead of his father King Charles.

“It must be tough for Charles, a man who waited over 70 years for the big gig, to play second fiddle to his son” the royal expert added.

Meanwhile, there are speculations, King Charles is said to be considering to make a historic announcement about his abdication, and Prince William and Kate Middleton will be the king and queen much sooner than anyone imagined.
